Israel Tour 2007

Where:  Sea of Galilee, Dead Sea, and Jerusalem
Cost:  Approximately $2,500 per person, double occupancy

Have you ever longed to walk where Jesus walked?  Have you wondered what it would be like to spend some quiet time on a boat in the Sea of Galilee?  Do you wonder what the Jordan River looks like, or perhaps even want to be baptized (or to re-affirm your baptism) in the same river where John baptized our Lord? 

Join with folks from Sunrise United Methodist Church, Pikes Peak United Methodist Church, Good Shepherd, and others as we explore the Holy Land.  We will visit:

• Nazareth

• The Sea of Galilee

• The Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount

• The Jordan River

• Capernaum

• Caesarea Philippi

• Beit Shean

• Jerusalem

• Jericho (from a distance)

• Bethlehem

• The Mount of Olives

• The Room of the Last Supper

• The Via Dolorosa

• Temple Mount

• Qumran

• Masada

• Yad Vashem Memorial to the Holocaust

• The Israel Museum

• ...And more

Costs change as the date of the trip approaches, and discounts are available for booking by September 15, 2006.  Price includes round trip airfare from Denver International Airport, breakfast and supper each day, air-conditioned tour bus and driver, tour guide, entry fees at the historical sites, and more.

Update - August 13th, 2006

In light of the events in the Middle East, the deadline for booking has been extended until October 15th.  As we continue to monitor news out of Israel and Lebanon, we will post updates to this page.  At this point, the trip is still a "go." 

Update - October 5th, 2006

While the war between Israel and Hizbollah has ended, the kidnapped Israeli soldiers have still not been freed; therefore, we are concerned about the decreased stability of the region and the safety of our tour group.  Our trip has, unfortunately, been delayed indefinitely.  We hope to re-schedule it in late 2007 or early 2008.  Keep an eye on this page for updates.
