Good Shepherd UMC has sent some needed items to Ordway and will see that any future donations are delivered.. Gift cards for Walmart and checks made to "Ordway Community Fund" c/o First National Bank, Ordway, CO 81063 will be mailed from the church. Some were sent on Sunday.

Items needed include baby clothes and shoes, baby toys, items to furnish FEMA trailers. Pet food will help the local animal shelter there. Ordway Healthmart Pharmacy will use donations to help persons replace both OTC meds and RX items lost in the fire.

Mark your calendars for May 4th at 6 PM. Bring your favorite "fun" dish and all your family and friends to Cooper Hall that evening for an hour or more of wonderful fellowship and fun. The theme will be "CRAZY HATS" and there will be prizes for the most outlandish hat worn by a man, a woman and a child under 12 years of age. Also put on your "thinking cap" as there will be some competition between tables when Bible questions are presented. BE THERE!!!!!. Sponsored by Gilham TLC Group.

Our Food Pantry is open the second and fourth Thursdays of the month from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm.

Mission Trip to McCurdy School in New Mexico

A Rocky Mountain Conference sponsored VIM trip to McCurdy School in in Espanola, New Mexico will take two volunteers from our congregation. They will work in the school May 4 to May 9. Before they go, they are collecting school supplies such as copy paper (letter or legal size, white or colored), scotch tape, black Sharpie markers, post it notes, spiral notebooks, pocket folders, basic calculators, pencils and erasers. If you are able to help, please deposit items in the box in the Narthex.

On Saturday and Sunday, May 10 and 11, you are invited to Bring a Friend or Family Member to check us out. Good Shepherd has a lot to offer - help us to spread the word!.

Good Shepherd 101

Have you considered joining Good Shepherd United Methodist Church? Our next membership class will be held on May 4 from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm (preceding our potluck). Please contact the office to sign up.

Our WIRED (Worship, Invitation, Relationships, Extending a Hand) Youth Group has returned. They meet Sundays from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. This is for ages 13 to 18 years. There will be studies, discussions, prayers, fun, food, games, field trips and opportunities to connect with other youths.
